Kathleen Stegall is a Studio Manager and Dance Instructor at Austin Uptown Dance Studio. She teaches country, swing, Latin, and ballroom dance to individuals and groups. Stegall is also certified as an ACE personal trainer and Zumba Instructor. She has taught classes and trained aerobic dance instructors throughout the U.S. and Japan.
Stegall's love for dance developed in elementary school. In her twenties, she discovered a passion for fitness as well and was soon swept into the running craze. Running led her to aerobic dancing, where she brought together her love of music, dancing, and fitness.
In 1995, after an outing to the Broken Spoke in Austin, TX, Stegall was inspired to pursue country partner dancing and subsequently met her husband and dance partner. They currently compete in the top levels of country dance and recently placed second in the World Championships in Nashville. They have won two national titles and numerous regional titles. In 1999 she won the World Championship as a Pro Am Newcomer in country western dancing.
Stegall feels blessed and lucky to be able to share her love of dance and fitness with others on a daily basis.
