Thank you for considering The Crossings for your volunteer service! Each year, The Crossings invites dozens of dedicated volunteers on campus to assist with our daily operations. Each of our volunteers is an essential part of our mission to provide a peaceful place for individuals to renew and grow. We are truly grateful for the skills, energy, and enthusiasm of our volunteers.
As our way of showing appreciation for your efforts, we are delighted to provide our volunteers free or discounted workshops when the minimum requirements, listed below, are met.
Library Team
• Cataloging books and keeping library orderly
Guest Services Team
• Greeters to welcome incoming guests
• Luggage tagging and/or handling
Administration
• Various administrative projects, as they arise
• Marketing assistance - filing, copying, data entry, and mail-outs
Wellness Center/Spa
• Office help - filing, copying, telephone or computer skills
• Pool Attendant
• Maintenance of locker rooms
• Spa tours
• Greeter
• Assistance in Life Store, learn product lines and help guests
Bookstore
• Unpack shipments and stock shelves
• Dust and help keep Bookstore clean and neat
• Become informed on product line and sell product
• Keep displays fresh and appealing
Event Services
• Event-room setup and/or break down
Dining Hall
• Greeter/Floor Coordinator
• Administrative/clerical
Gardening Team
• Trail/grounds maintenance including the herb garden and other flower gardens
• Sanctuary upkeep
• Gate House grounds
60 hours of volunteer service, (Normally, shifts are four hours, except in the Dining Hall)
Workshop Benefits
• 100% tuition discount on one two-day weekend workshop with 60 hours service.*
• 100% tuition discount on one week-long workshop with 120 hours of service.*
*This is subject to having faculty-approved spaces available in the workshops.
Meals on Campus
• One complimentary meal per four-hour shift
Wellness Center/Spa
• 30% discount on spa services
• Access to pool, sauna, tubs, steam room
• Access to optional wellness classes
Retail
• 20% discount at The Crossings Life Store, cafe, and bookstore

Potential volunteers must attend an information session prior to beginning their volunteer service. At this meeting, you will learn about The Crossings' mission and culture, tour the campus, and interact with staff to determine if there is a mutually beneficial fit.
